Spirit of Ballarat Christmas Party and Funding Announcement

What better way to celebrate a fantastic year of working to make a difference in our community?

Thursday 8th December, we held our Spirit of Ballarat Christmas Party at the beautifully restored Mechanics Institute’s Humffray Room.

To say thank you, to the people and businesses who support the work of United Way Ballarat, Geoff Sharp, CEO and Alex Campbell, Chair of the Board presented certificates of recognition to the 10 top Workplace Giving companies and to some other outstanding supporters.

Recipients of funding through United Way Ballarat and The Ballarat Foundation for 2017 were also announced on the night. Allocations committee chair, Mark Bruty, thanked each of the members of the committee for their hard work making the difficult decisions about which projects would receive funding.
Certificates for each organisation were presented by Alex Campbell and those specifically receiving funding through the Janine Owen Fund a sub-fund of The Ballarat Foundation were presented by Tim Owen.

Further funding from the Courier Charity Fund, another sub-fund of The Ballarat Foundation, awarded late 2016 was also recognised. Jade Morrison and Janine Buesnel from The Courier presented certificates to the following organisations:
