Front Page News!! 100,000th Imagination Library book delivered

When Rieley Glasson was just a tiny baby, the Ballarat Imagination Library was introduced.  The program, administered by United Way Ballarat, delivers free, brand-new, age-appropriate books to children in the Ballarat area to develop a love of reading and improve school readiness.  Through the generosity of local people who sponsor the program, Rieley was one of the first children in Ballarat to start receiving books.

Now a three-year-old, Rieley is the proud recipient of the 100,000th Imagination Library book to be delivered in Australia.

Rieley’s mum Renee explained;  “The program keeps us accountable.   We have a new book arrive each month so we have something fresh to read with Rieley and that means we do it.”

Rieley is particularly excited by this month’s book as it involves the ocean – something he is very passionate about.  He enthusiastically explains the story line and what he enjoys most about his book to anyone who will listen.
