Give some Joy this Christmas

If you are considering making a donation to someone in need as part of your Christmas giving this year, we’ve done some research for you and have some ideas that will go to a local individual or family.  Simply select a gift below and we will make sure it goes to the charity of your choice:

UnitingCare would like to be able to give struggling families the opportunity to purchase Christmas Dinner the cost is $75 for a family and $35 for an individual.  Also Gifts for children aged 9 – 12 for their emergency relief services. These can be delivered to 105 Dana St Ballarat prior to 14 December.

The staff at CASA (Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault) would like to be able to provide a $50 gift card for their clients to add a bit of brightness to what can be a difficult time of year.  Clients who received a gift card last year were very touched to have something just for them. Some clients reported a feeling of permission to spend money on themselves while others said this would be the only Christmas gift they would receive.

The Ballarat Foundation

The Ballarat Foundation with assistance from The Sydney Myer Foundation and FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) will be providing ‘back to school vouchers’ to local schools for distribution to struggling families.  Local donations will be matched by the organisers which means your $50 donation will provide $100 worth of ‘back to school vouchers’.

The Ballarat Imagination Library

The Ballarat Imagination Library will send an age-appropriate book a month to a local child aged 0 to 5.  For just $7 a month you can make that happen.
