National Volunteer Week 2015MindAust

On Friday 5th June 2015 at the Ballarat Personal Helpers and Mentors Program office we held a lunch in recognition of National Volunteer Week for volunteers, staff, and clients to recognize all the hard work that the volunteers do for us.

The events that we hold for the volunteers are a good chance for everyone to get to know each other and talk about what they are doing with the person they are volunteering with.  It also gives the client the opportunity to meet other like-minded people.

Currently we have six volunteers on our books with five of those actively volunteering with clients.

Out of the six volunteers we had five of those attended the lunch; we also had staff and a few of the clients attend.

Certificates were given to the volunteers, which were well received.
